The Academy of Woodlands

The Academy of Woodlands is a community facility consisting of a Primary School, Children’s Centre, Special Needs Hub, Nursery, Sports Centre, Gymnasium and Arts Centre.  

We are looking for experienced Nursery Officers to join our Nursery team. The position will be part time working 30 hours per week term time only. 

The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated but also willing and able to work effectively as part of a team. The ability to be flexible is essential in such a diverse and interesting environment. 

Skills, experience and attributes: 

NVQ Level 3 (essential)

Effective and successful practice in Early Years

Ability to develop professional relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues and communicate effectively with all

Good team working skills and also able to use own initiative

Enthusiastic and motivated

Committed to providing high quality care and education

Able to work flexible shift patterns

Flexible and able to adapt to work with age ranges 2 to 5 years

Previous experience working in a similar setting would be an advantage
